Community Service is such an important part of developing yourself as a student. One really creative project is taking place in our community. The projects name is Empty Bowls Luncheon. This is a local artist and restaurants working with local Distinguished Women in Post Falls, ID. I went over and picked out a bowl made by a local artist and picked out soup provided by one of our fine local restaurants. All proceeds go to the local Post Falls Food Bank. It was fun and the Distinguished Young Women are serving.
Community Service can be fun and can fill a great need. It helps train students for real work positions and it helps form a person fully. The community you live in may provide opportunities such as Empty Bowls. Check it out…join a group and have fun.
Keep track of your hours in your calendar for when you are applying for scholarships. And network with other young people. Networking should start young and happen often.
